FYLDE COAST GOLFERS

Alan Sayburn

Alan Sayburn, a great friend to myself and many, a true gentleman and devoted Christian, very keen golfer and with his addictive humour and personality affected so many people. We will miss him so much. I never heard him swear or distain anyone.

Winner of the Presidents Cup at St Annes Old Links.

He once said to me "the only way he would ever get his name on the winners board would be to break into the club and put it on himself "

We will all miss his jokes on the course.

He always captained our Seniors Team Opens at Harwood Golf Club which we played twice a year in May and September. Condolences were sent from John and Geoff the organisers of the Opens, who thought he was a great person like everyone Alan met.

They too will miss Alan's joyful personality and one liner jokes.

We played in the Trinity Hospice Team Opens at St Annes Old Links together and made happy memories with Dave Crabtree, priceless now.

It will be strange with Alan not playing with us this year but I am sure he will be looking down on us from above. God Bless you my friend you have been so supportive to helping the Charity over many years and a true Fylde Coast Golfer. Until we meet again Alan, I will see you in the clubhouse.

All his friends at St Annes Old Links will miss him, and will never forget him.

                                      Rest in Peace my friend

Our Friend Alan
Rest in Peace Alan
