Dave Atherton joined me on a tour of Brian House Children's Hospice to see the amazing staff and recent developements to help and care for the children and their families supporting them in every way.
We both enjoyed the tour with the Manager Linda and Gemma from Fundraising amazing professionals who made our visit special.
Dave Fletcher, Gary Clarke, Nick Nelson, Paul Kindred and John Marsden
Sister Carol Wylde holding Emily and Health Care Assisstant Viv Thompson
The work carried out at Brian House is both magical and wonderful, and seeing first hand the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff makes you feel grateful we have people like this working in a difficult and emotional vocation,(not a job).
I found Brian House to be a place of happiness and stimulation giving youngsters a brilliant and caring end of life experience, while providing support to the relatives and friends who will ultimately left behind. The Butterfly Room is amazing.
Brian House deserves every penny received in donations and gifts, and should be promoted as a local charity serving the local community.

We have a son now reaching his 21st birthday this November 2014, we cannot imagine being without him, the thought of parents losing a child at any age especially those so young is unimaginable. A parents worst nightmare.
Lisa Martin is an incredible lady with true dedication to the children with a passionate and determined drive to fundraising for the Charity.
She took four of my fellow golfers and myself on a tour of the hospice, introducing us to the staff and meeting some of the children. I personally was touched by what I saw there, the facilities for the children are superb and the nurses are incredible.
Showing the little one's lots of love in addition to the specialist care they receive. They all do wonderful work with genuine loving devotion to helping the children of all ages.
After the tour we presented the cheque to Lisa for £656.
The atmosphere is tranquil and truly inspiring to anyone visiting the hospice.
Thank you all for your work at Brian House.

I have read what Gary and Dave have written several times regarding our visit to Brian House.
Their words cover all of my feelings and thoughts of the visit. A very emotional evening for all of us in many different ways.
Please take a moment to read the following words:
"We all have our guardian angel who is
loving, kind and caring, who`ll be there
when we need someone to
share the load were bearing"
It only takes a few words but Brian House is that guardian angel to so many people.

Time to reflect...
Yes it was a time to reflect and appreciate our two wonderful children, how fortunate we are.
Yes it was a time to reflect, 27 years ago, Carly our stillborn daughter and her twin sister Louise, on a life support machine.
Yes it was a time to reflect how we longed for comforting words, for support and guidance but there was little then.
Yes it is now time to reflect how wonderful and inspirational Brian House is, the caring staff, the support mechanisms in place to help both children and their families in times of need.
Many thanks, our support will continue.
